Terry Benn is a Canadian film and tv composer, record producer, and guitarist. His musical career really kicked off as a guitarist, touring in punk and rock bands. It wasn’t long before he turned to music production, producing albums for over 10 years, working with acts such as The Glorious Sons, LETDOWN, and A Choir of Ghosts, amassing millions of streams on his work. Now, Terry is fully immersed in the world of scoring for motion pictures and television while continuing to operate and produce singles and albums from his farmhouse studio “Switzerville Sound Retreat”.
Terry frequently works with composer Michelle Osis. Together, they’ve scored 8 feature films, including: CARVED (Dir. Justin Harding, Hulu Disney+) T.REX (Dir: David Clark narrated by Sam Neill, IMAX) DARK MATCH (Dir. Lowell Dean, Shudder), award winning SWAY (Dirs. Hamilton X Ramelan), THIS TOO SHALL PASS (Dir. Rob Grant), ABANDONED (Dir. Spencer Squire, Emma Roberts, Michael Shannon), and FIXATION (Dir. Mercedes Bryce Morgan, premiered at TIFF). His recent tv credits include THE HAUNTED MUSEUM seasons 1+2 (Discovery) and URBAN LEGEND (Discovery). Currently, Terry and Michelle are scoring their 9th feature film together DIGITAL TSUNAMI (a socio-political documentary by Fred Peabody, White Pine Pictures).
