Film + TV Composer / Music Producer / Mixing + Mastering Engineer
Terry Benn is a Canadian composer, producer, and mixing and mastering engineer. His musical trajectory saw him playing in punk and rock bands in his early days, to music production for 10 years, and finally leading him to film composing. Terry composed two shorts for director Doug Cook "POW" (Greg Hovanessian) (2015) and "Peephole" (Margaryta Soldatova) (2016) as a side project. Film scoring would find him again in 2020 as he began providing additional music for composer Michelle Osis on 2 feature films (“The Wishing Tree” dir. Laura Adamo and “Bloodthirsty” dir. Amelia Moses).
In 2021, Terry would again provide additional music for another feature film “Fixation” dir. Mercedes Bryce Morgan (official 2022 TIFF selection). Later that year, Terry would compose his first 9 episode TV series “The Haunted Museum” which streamed on Discovery+ (Zak Bagans, Eli Roth, Cream Productions). In the late fall of 2021, he would finish the year scoring the short film “Unbecoming” directed by Jack Creaghan.
In early 2022 Terry brought additional score music to feature film “Abandoned” (Michael Shannon, Emma Roberts). Currently, he is composing the new 8 episode horror series “Urban Legend” (created by Eli Roth, Cream Productions) and is set to compose season 2 of “The Haunted Museum” in late 2022 (Zak Bagans, Eli Roth, Cream Productions).
